Chip Card Integration to Factory Automation

Istanbul, 24 September 2005 – Banksoft, a leading provider of card-based payment solutions, announced today that its solution started being used at Kütahya Sugar Factory (KSF). The project was devised jointly by KSF and Denizbank, and aims to increase overall efficiency through process automation. KSF is the first sugar factory where the procurement, the production and the payment activities are made in an integrated way through the use of chip cards and a chip card management system.

At Ziraatbank branches, POS terminals become a bill payment point

Istanbul, 23 August 2005 – Banksoft, a leading provider of card-based payment solutions, announced today that Ziraatbank started to use its merchant POS terminals for bill collection. Telecom, GSM and utility payments can be made at these counters where the merchants use the POS terminal to collect the payments and provide customers with a receipt.

Finansbank Russia moved its card-based payment systems to Banksoft software

Moscow, 26 July 2005 – Finansbank Russia, the Russian subsidiary of the fifth largest bank in Turkey by asset size, Finansbank, moved its card-based payment systems to software from Banksoft, in order to implement its “first class” banking services. The deal includes software for credit- and debit-card management, monitoring and management of ATM and POS terminals, ISO-8583 switching and clearing with international card networks.

Banksoft initiates EMV acquiring at ATMs in Turkey

Istanbul, 23 May 2005 – Banksoft, a leading provider of card-based payment solutions, announced today that one of its customers, HSBC, completed successfully all three certifications from MasterCard, Visa and BKM (Turkish National Switch) for EMV acquiring at ATMs. HSBC is the first bank in Turkey to start offering this service.

Card-based toll payment starts with Banksoft systems

Istanbul, 15 December 2004 – Banksoft, a leading provider of card-based payment solutions, announced today that Ziraatbank and Halkbank, the two largest state-owned banks with more than 1,800 branches and $55 billion in assets combined, started offering KGS. KGS is a system devised by the General Directorate of Highways (TCK), which allows motorists to pay for highway and bridge tolls using a contactless card.

Finansbank signed an outsourcing agreement with Banksoft for its card-based payment systems software

Finansbank, the fifth largest bank in Turkey by asset size, outsourced its card-based payment systems software to Banksoft and the related hardware and operations to IBM, in order to implement its banking services. With the outsourcing agreement, Banksoft will provide and maintain the software for Finansbank’s credit cards, debit cards, ATMs and POS terminals, while IBM will manage the systems and supply the hardware. With the worldwide increasing use of outsourcing in information technology in the financial sector, banks can concentrate on their core banking activities, while handing over the sophisticated IT activities to companies with expertise on their respective fields.

Demir Kyrgyz International Bank launched Kyrgyzstan’s first POS and Merchant application Banksoft systems

Demir Kyrgyz International Bank (DKIB), a leading bank in Kyrgyzstan, is broadening its technological cooperation with Banksoft by adding POS and Merchant management systems to the existing ATM and Debit Card infrastructure. Under the agreement signed in April 2004, Banksoft supplied a turn-key solution, which includes the POS terminals and networking equipment, in addition to the POS and Merchant management software as well as related integration and consultancy services. The success of setting up the POS network follows Banksoft’s previous turn-key project of establishing Kyrgyzstan’s first ATM network.

Banksoft announced its “Tek-POS” Project

“Tek-POS” Project was introduced on 12 December 2003 with a presentation by Ismet Yurtseven, General Manager of Banksoft at company headquarters. Over 50 professionals from 16 banks, financial firms and IT companies attended the meeting. Demonstrations with live systems were also made in order to show the technical readiness of the system.

Banksoft will deliver  ATM monitoring, credit and debit card management solutions for Anadolubank. 

 Istanbul – August 1, 2003 – Banksoft, a leading provider of retail payment solutions, announced that Anadolubank, a prominant bank with 65 branches and $1bn in assets, will start using Banksoft solutions for the management of its credit and debit card portfolio. Anadolubank will also drive its 70 ATMs with Banksoft’s advanced ATM Monitoring and driving solution.
